Pricing
Our tutoring, test-prep, and music lessons are all billed as subscriptions with monthly pricing. This means you’ll pay the same amount every month, so you’ll never have to wonder when a bill is coming or how much you will owe. Our tutoring and test-prep lessons are one hour long, while our music lessons are 45 minutes.

Not interested in an ongoing subscription? No problem! Individual sessions are available without a subscription for $80 per lesson.
Discounts**
We pride ourselves on making our services as accessible as possible. As a result, we have several discount plans for which individuals can qualify. Our essential worker discount applies if any member of the student’s household is an essential worker, and will take 10% off the base rate of any plan that we offer! Need-based discounts are also available based on household income and can reduce the price of any plan by up to 25%! If you know that you’ll be needing tutoring or taking music lessons over an extended period of time, save 15% off the monthly rate with an annual commitment (that’s nearly 2 months free each year!) available with both monthly and annual billing options!

Homeschool Reimbursement***
North Star Tutors is a vendor with many of the most popular homeschool programs available. If your student is homeschooled, you may be eligible to have some or all of your tutoring or music instruction costs reimbursed out of your homeschool allotment! Since we are constantly adding homeschool programs to our list of partners, to find out if your specific homeschool program is covered, please submit our interest form here and one of our representatives will reach out to discuss your specific homeschool program.

…that’s why we make your first tutoring session or music lesson completely free with no commitment. We want to make sure that you’re not only paired with a qualified instructor for your student’s educational needs, but also a tutor with whom your student feels comfortable. If you feel like the tutor we assigned isn’t a good fit, no worries! We’ll assign a new tutor to your account and provide you with another free lesson.
*All Plans advertised as having a “monthly” or “month-to-month” commitment shall have an initial minimum commitment through the calendar month following the starting month of paid services. For example, if your first paid lesson under a month-to-month plan takes place on March 10, your initial commitment will be through April 30. More information can be found in the North Star Tutors Service Terms and Conditions.
**Qualification under a discount program is based on company definitions of terms such as “household income” and “essential worker.” This page does not constitute an offer of a specific discount. To get an exact quote, you must complete our interest form and receive an offer from a company representative. The company retains the right to request documentation for you to qualify under a given discount program. The company further retains the right to disqualify a customer or prospective customer from a discount program at any time if the company believes, in its sole discretion, that the discount was obtained fraudulently, or if the circumstances surrounding the qualification have changed. Providing false information to qualify under a discount program is a violation of North Star Tutors Service Terms and Conditions and may be a crime. Violations may result in a refusal by the company to provide future services, civil action taken against you by the company, and/or referral to law enforcement as a criminal violation.
***All reimbursements for services are processed by the homeschool program in which you or your student is registered. Even if the company is a vendor with the program, it cannot and does not guarantee that reimbursement will be provided to you for a given invoice or service. To learn more about your homeschool’s billing and reimbursement processes, and to identify what reimbursements you may be eligible to receive, please contact your homeschool program directly. North Star Tutors is not liable for any failure to receive reimbursement from your homeschool program for any reason.
